SALES AND MARKETING iNTERNSHIP
Objective: Present the Seattle Tempest and the Seattle Cascades to the wide community of prospective fans. This includes reaching ultimate players and other people across various age groups and communities in the Seattle area. An excellent job will drive the Tempest and Cascades brands and increase attendance at our home games.
While our Marketing Internship spans a variety of topics, the goal is twofold:
1. Work on projects that contribute real value to Tempest and Cascades.
2. Get an experience that is educational, enjoyable, and a potential career stepping stone.
The ideal internship has these two circles overlapping as much as possible.

TEN-WEEK INTERNSHIP
Responsibilities:
Facebook advertising to grow Tempest and Cascades online fan base. Compare specific audiences in order to discover characteristics of prospective fans.
Partnerships: reach select organizations with ticket offers for group outings. Drive attendance and build our fan base.
Marketing field work: visits to ultimate practices & games, and significant Seattle events. Often times, you will be joined by Casey the Sasquatch!
Printed Media distribution. Get our posters in coffee shops and on telephone poles around Seattle. Elevator pitch Tempest and Cascades to small business owners/managers and gift them schedule cards and ticket vouchers for their staff.
On game day, work two different shifts within the following categories: a. Ticketing, b. Live Media, c. Production, d. Operations.
Qualifications:
Well-developed knowledge of ultimate
Competency with Google online software: Documents, Spreadsheets, Forms
Self-motivated, able to work independently
Team-focused mentality, cooperative
Internship details:
10-15 weeks (time frame: March - July)
5-10 hours per week during business hours, Monday-Friday
Weekend commitments: home games and up to three other events
Computer available for duration of internship.
Compensation commensurate with experience
Stipend delivered at completion of internship
THREE-MONTH INTERNSHIP
Responsibilities:
Social Media Marketing: manage ad campaigns that target specific audiences. Perform AB testing, and proceed with highest performing content.
Fan demographics research. Develop methods to answer the below questions, and test theories by putting them into action.
-- Who comes to our games, and why?
-- What is the profit maximizing ticket price?
-- Which marketing campaigns drive the most sales?Brand outreach in online forums, event listings, and other similar mediums: strategize appropriate ways to build awareness of Seattle Cascades, and drive ticket sales.
Marketing field work: visits to ultimate practices & games, and significant Seattle events. Often times, you will be joined by Casey the Sasquatch!

On game day, manage Ticketing. This involves selling tickets, overseeing fan entrance, and directing volunteers.
Qualifications:
Strong writing skills and ability to adapt writing style
Marketing/sales experience, either academic or work-related
Self-motivated, able to work independently
Team-focused mentality, cooperative
Internship details:
12 weeks, March - May, flexible start/end dates
10 hours per week during business hours, Monday-Friday
Weekend commitments: home games and up to two other events
Computer available for duration of internship.
Compensation commensurate with experience
Stipend delivered half at midpoint and half end of internship
