Born and raised in Seattle, we are five siblings with a passion for fun, competition, and building stuff. We believe in Ultimate, in the community it has engendered, in the fans it has inspired, and in the athletic excellence that continues to develop season over season. We believe in Seattle and the incredible people and landscape that make this city special. We are thrilled to bring our passion for our city and our sport together as the owners of The Seattle Tempest.

In 2006, we founded Five Ultimate together. Today, the organization is a global ultimate apparel brand. In 2017, we founded ARIA Discs and brought a new ultimate disc to market, used in competition by USA Ultimate and the World Flying Disc Federation.

Our first foray into professional ultimate was in 2015 with Seattle Cascades, and soon thereafter with the All Star Ultimate Tour. We fielded open, womens, and mixed teams over the years with the goal of creating meaningful playing opportunities for all genders. In 2020, we rebranded the Cascades women’s team as Seattle Tempest.

The Seattle Tempest and Seattle Cascades share a front office but have been run separately and independently from Five Ultimate and ARIA. Meanwhile, we hope that the same passion and inclusiveness that Five and ARIA brings to the ultimate community over the years will shine in Seattle Tempest. 

Qxhna, Rohre, Vehro, Xtehn and Zahlen grew up playing ultimate and have competed at the highest level, all over the world. Past/current teams include, Boston Brutesquad, Seattle Riot, Seattle Mixtape, Chicago Machine, and Seattle Sockeye… along with a few appearances on USA Ultimate National Teams!
